Happy New Year!
We're building a house now and I'm going to have a homeschooling room. I just started packing some boxes of craft stuff (to make our house look less cluttered when we put it on the market) and I'm wondering how to label them. My husband thinks homeschool room sounds too long. He likes "school room". I thought about "the Learning Room" like the Clarksons call it, but that may sound like it's the only room you learn in. Do you have a name for yours, if you have one?

We use "Play Room" or "School Room" interchangably. Its also sometimes the "Kids' Room."

We like to give rooms unconventional names...our living room is "The Sanctuary" (we left a big old farmhouse with a family room and parlour, to come to a much smaller ranch, and living room just seemed too boring)....if we had a separate room for studying, it might be the "Imagination Station"...."Think Tank"...."Discovery Zone"....oh, what joy your kids could have naming their new space!!!! The real fun begins when you unpack all the treasures they'll use there!!!

In our last house, we called it, "The Storytime Room."

Oh, I love it!
We're closing in the carport this spring. I was thinking of calling the "Atrium".

Is this just for labeling boxes for the movers - or a final name. If it is for labeling boxes - schoolroom will define it quite well.
When we moved 99% of our household stuff was labeled for the school room. Everyone laughed so hard because we could hardly move in the school room to unpack - but it did all fit in the schoolroom - until I needed new shelves for all the new books we got for this school year. I guess we should have called it the library!!
We are a bit boring here though - and still do school all over the house.

Sorry Cheryl -- we call it "the house" as we have stuff all over -- books, supplies, "educational" toys -- we can't limit it to one room.....

Where our main learning activities take place we call the family room. I did try the learning centre but well family room stuck, one end of it where all the books are is called the 'book nook'.

Since our school room is also our sunroom addition, we call it the sun room.

Ours is The Garage or Laundry Room or Schoolroom or Playroom...whatever works for that day! I'm not that creative.... Our school room is in our detached garage which had been semi-coverted before we moved in. Dh finished with carpet he pulled out of the house, new drywall, paint, shelves and cabinets that were already out there, etc. 3/4 is school stuff and 1/4 is laundry and outside toys storage. I love it!
