Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am Jodie's friend, Connie. I am so thankful for your prayers. My children and I are coming back to the Church and my Non-Catholic Husband is interested. Currently, he works Sundays so I will fly solo with my crew to Mass.

We live in Eastern Wa state on 8 beautiful acres, not far from the WA/ID border. I love to garden and sew and read like crazy. We have Goats and Pigs and a few Chickens. My children have several special needs, with my youngest having Aspergers Syndrome so I am currently using a wide variety of Curriculums.

I am thrilled beyond words to be returning home to the Church. I wish I had done it when the children were smaller. I did raise my 2 eldest Catholic and currently became a Grandma for the 1st time as my son and DIL adopted a beautiful baby boy through Catholic Charities.

I attended Parochial School from K-5th grade and then graduated from Gonzaga University. My Parents were devout Catholics and my Irish Catholic Grnadma lived with us. My faith is who I am and I have felt like a boat floating in a sea with no anchor. I really can not wait to get my children Baptised and our marriage blessed. We have found a wonderful Church in our area and I have begun to pray the rosary again.

Funny you leave something for whatever reason and never understand what you are walking away from until life throws you a huge curveball(which it did) then you miss what you so willingly walked away from. Silly me.
Sorry this has been so long. I hope I don't drive you ladies nuts with silly questions. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Hi there and welcome! We lived in Spokane for awhile. Eastern WA is beautiful.

What kind of goats do you have? I'm hoping for dairy goats eventually, but need to put up the fences, first...

Hi Bookswithtea,
We have 1 Saanen Does. Mom and Daughter. Our Saanen Trudy Kidded last night, which surpised me as she did not seem like she was in labor when I went to bed. She had a buckling, he looks like a litte lamb!
We also have 1 big obnoxious Saanen Buck named Job, A Toggenburg Doe Mia, 3 Inyourface Nubian Does, Rosmary, Lilac and Mitzi. All girls will be kidding between now and July.
We do love the goats milk and this summer I am trying my hand at soap making and some hard cheeses!

We love Eastern WA. If I had my way I would be living at Priest Lake!

Awwwwwwwwww...I love Saanens. They are my favorite. My friend has Saanens and the are so sweet. I want the milk for my family and I want to make soap for gifts and for fun. You have A LOT of goats! You must get tons of milk. What do you do with all of it?
