Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone recommend a good place (preferably online and not too expensive) to stock up on gift wrap, gift bags, ribbon, greeting cards etc? I try to do this so that I do not have to run out to the store to get a gift bag whenever I have to give a gift. With a new baby coming I am trying to be organized. Whilst I don't like "standard greeting cards" - I like to keep some around - so that I can at least remember birthdays etc. I also stock up on thank you cards so that I can get these out in a timely fashion. And I so like my gifts to look nicely wrapped.

I just don't know where to get supplies from - Costco used to do some nice wrapping paper - not seen it for ages. Target and Michaels wrapping paper seem so thin and over-priced.

I know there is a catalog called Current (I think?) has anyone ordered from here?

Thanks for your help.

I immediately thought of Lesley's Small Meadow Press for lovely cards and stationary. But, I see that she is taking a hiatus from her business as she cares for her mother.

My sister-in-law always has had gift-wrap and cards that she keeps on hand from Current. They have a nice supply of pretty things at very reasonable prices.

Another idea, Dover has some really pretty wrapping paper that I have purchased in the past. It is good quality--a thick and sturdy feel to it. Hope this helps!!

I love a nicely wrapped gift, too!

I do not usually visit dollar stores, but will say that they have very nice looking gift bags in all sizes, as well as lots of gift wrap and ribbons, etc.
I tend to like plainly wrapped gifts (solid colors, or the brown kraft look with some stanps or stickers) so the Dollar stores work great for this.
oh! and tissue is super cheap there!!

Gift wrap is one of those hard things to find online. Also Christmas cards and cards generally. The profit from these items is not great, I guess. Dover Publications is a great place to try though. A lot of their wrapping paper comes folded in a book though. I prefer rolls personally. I usually stock up at Ikea once a year for cheap colorful generic gift wrap and Costco for Christmas wrap.

I was going to say IKEA, too, but I don't know if they carry wrap year-round. It's not super quality but it is very inexpensive and fun.
