Everyone may be aware of this already, but I was introduced to a neat site about a month ago
Paperback Swap
You list books you are willing to trade and get credits for books you can ask for from other members. It's addicting. A bunch of us on the Sonlight forums have formed a little homeschoolers niche over there, I think. You can even include other people as your "buddies" on a buddy list to easily see their listed books and wish lists. I'm "amyablemom" there (creative, I know ). Come join up if you are interested - I can PM you the link on the Sonlight forums that contains the list of the other homeschoolers nicknames there.
I've already sent out at least 15 books and received about 7 - my Sonlight Core 2 readers for the year (we don't actually "do" SL right now but we pick read alouds from their book list.
Just thought a bunch of book loving women would like a site like this.

Thanks, Amy!
The site looks great.
I'll PM you to get the list.
Thanks again,

Okay, so I was about to sign up when I saw a button that said "Advanced Referrals". It turns out that you get a book credit for everyone that signs up. Here's the link.
Use this and Amy gets a free book!

Thanks Jen! But please everyone, don't feel obligated to give me a credit - I don't want to look like I'm credit grubbing, lol - I'm just really enjoying this give and take of books so much, I wanted to share. Really. :)

Amy,
I never thought for a minute that you were doing anything but sharing a find. It just makes sense that if there is a free credit to be had, someone should get it. It's just the bargain hunter in me even likes the bargains that others get!

Thanks Jen - it really sounded like *you* didn't see it that way, but I just wanted to reiterate it for others. I do love book credits but didn't want to share just for that.
I hope you both find things you are looking for! Definitely put yourselves on the wish list for your favorites if they are not there - I'm moving up the wish list on a few things so they are circulating!

Has anyone else joined? I was wondering what your "nicknames" were so I could check out your lists. I love the paperbackswap site! Although you have to wade through the twaddle, I have had some wonderful finds and am able to send off books we might have loved but just won't reread. So if you have a list, I would love to check it out!

LOL, I think my list and many other homeschoolers lists are mostly twaddle, because we are *keeping* the good stuff.
I do occasionally give away things that are good, though, because space is at such a premium here and dh is not big on getting more bookshelves.
