Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just had to let you dear ladies know that I am deeply grateful for your presence here and for the countless ways you bring inspiration and encouragement to my life and to so many others! I almost fasted from internet this Lent, but I knew that my soul is in desperate need of the blessings I receive whenever I come here. So many of you greatly touched our lives during the season of our daughter's twins coming into our midst. Additionally, during these last days of winter, when it can be so difficult to make it through each day, conversations ranging from organizing homeschooling materials to small successes to prayer intentions have given me just the boost I've needed. As a result of several recent threads I've recently been blessed with the small success of gutting our linen closet, which has always been a catch-all for all our homeschooling "surplus"...I was able to use several ideas shared here lately and revise the use of that space to store our main curriculum in such a way that I can more easily sort materials and fill homeschooling baskets when new book orders begin arriving soon, for the upcoming homeschooling year. While sorting and pitching way too many scraps of random paper, I happened across an index card on which I had written down the years we've homeschooled...we're finishing up our 19th and will begin our 20th year this Fall. Real Learning has continually helped me embrace the past few years with a fresh, new outlook, for which I am profoundly thankful! May the Lord bless each one of you who give so graciously of yourselves through all that you share here! May all your homeschooling days be kissed with abundant grace, profound peace and immense joy!

I am so grateful as well, Servant! There is so much here that blesses and enriches our domestic church - not the least of which are the prayers we receive! Now, I know which Little House books to buy, how to make French toast casserole next week for breakfast, activities to bolster my St. Joseph's altar, and that I'm not the only one who is longing for a cup of coffee on Sunday! It's like a warm cup of tea here...I'm grateful for the light threads...and the deeper threads that make me think and dig, aren't those grace-filled moments when we take those to prayer?

I renew my Lenten prayers for all of you, asking our dear, sweet Lord to enfold you all in His Sacred Heart and keep you close for the remainder of this Lent and always!

Thank you Servant, for starting this so I could voice how much I appreciate and am grateful for all of you!

One wonderful thing about here is that even when *I* am not feeling like good company.. *YOU* are all still good company

OH, so well said and I definitely echo all these sentiments. I, too, was going to fast from the board during Lent. I did for many, many days and I missed the encouragement here so much. I don't have much real life support here and this board IS my mother culture.

We have a big change in our lives coming up, my dh is retiring from the Air Force and we are moving back to Northern Virginia from Spokane, Washington , and life just seems very, very stressful right now. I'm sure most of it is due to a lot of sickness in February, dh had surgery and I'm just sooooo sick of winter!

Thank you all so much for being part of my life and lifting me up more than you can ever know!! God bless you all!!
