Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am one of seven children and ever since my dad passed away last April, it has been really difficult to keep on top of what's happening with the rest of the family. My mom has been gone for twenty years. I guess we all got used to getting updates from Dad. Anyway I wanted to recommend this website in case anyone else has this problem. It's called MyGreatBigFamilyand it is a website that lets you build your own family website. The cost is reasonable, I think. ..especially if you split it. You can have webpages for each family in your extended family; there is a forum section where you can customize your own discussion topics; of course all the contact information for the whole family in one place; photo uploading is easy; and you can get reminders about birthdays and other important dates. There are many other features, as well. No, I am not getting paid for promoting this site, I am just so happy with how we are getting the extended family involved in something together, I wanted to share! We are spread out up and down the east coast with many different ages and this is something everyone is enjoying. Oh, and it is all private, secure and password protected, so no worries there, either.

DH's family is similar (only there's a sister in AK, two brothers in CA, a whole slew of them in KS, two in OK...and when you add in their dc, and cousins, etc...)...they have a family blog on Blogger...

This would be very similar to having a famly blog, but we have many "techinically challenged" folks (including me!) in our group and this site is pretty cookie cutter and simple to use for many family members who barely use the internet at all to begin with.
