Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi ladies! I have a Christmas gift question for ya'll. My dd5 has asked for the waldorf style Magic Cabin dolls for herself and her little sister 1yr... Do any of you have any experience with this type of doll? Have your children enjoyed them? Do you think this would be a good investment compared to an AG style doll (hard body, more clothing and accesories).
The dolls are expensive, but this will be the gift from Granny who can do these things I think the soft doll would be nice because both girls can play together (my 1yrold LOOOOVES dolls ) I just want to make sure that for the price, we will enjoy them for years to come.
Thanks!
God Bless,
Alison

I love Magic Cabin dolls. One of my dd's around 3ish had a pippi longstocking from their catalogue, made in the same style. She was well loved for about 2 yrs.

If you are looking for a soft cuddly doll that is cute and has clothes, these are great. If you want a doll that a 10 yr old will play with too, though, the AG style dolls are a better bet, imho. The one downside to the MC dolls is that there isn't a lot you can do with their hair.

hope this helps!

Thanks for your help! What you said made a lot of sense.
I showed dd5 what the magic cabin doll's hair would be like and then asked her if she wanted one with hair she could brush or hair she could only braid or tie with ribbons. She wanted hair she could brush, so we went to the toy shop to see some dolls- they had a beautiful selection of Corelle dolls. She picked out one very similar to the AG style Being a sneaky mommy and dd being an easily distracted 5yr old, I had the lady wrap up the doll, and along with another purchase we made it out to the car no one the wiser
Now what to do for my 7yr old

God Bless,
Alison
