Just a funny, amazing story from the weekend.
My son Danny went with a few classmates on a four day trip to Christendom College. Six hours from home. They went to visit classes, and especially to watch the performance of a classmate (who graduated last year) in the schools performance of A Secret Garden.

Well, a girl came up to Danny and ask him, "Is your name Dan?" "Yes" "Does your mom have a blog" "Yes" " Are you one of ten kids and do you have a dog?" "Yes"
She then told Dan "Wow. I check out the blog all the time. My mom keeps it on the computer!"
And then she was gone.

I guess this is blog stardom! I wish he had gotten her name though, maybe it is someones daughter from here.

Has anyone else had something like this happen to you or your kids? It was kind of cool.

I bet there is some connection, like this place. Maybe it'll be revealed through this thread -- it'll be interesting! Still pretty amazing to happen like that though.

That is neat. My daughter goes to Christendom. I don't spend too much time reading blogs so I doubt it was her - but maybe she reads blogs when I leave 4real up on the screen. Was she a six foot tall blonde??

That's a great story, Joann. I have an IRL homeschool friend who mentioned some of the blogs she reads for great ideas and yours was one of them. I told her I "knew" you and she was impressed.

I haven't had quite the same experience as you - but recently I did have a funny experience related to my writing for other blogs. Though some local homeschool friends know I have a blog most aren't very internet connected in the same "spheres" I inhabit and don't have any connection to 4 Real or associated blogs. Last week at our mom's support group meeting when I walked in one of the woman first thing calls out - "Are you the Mary M on O Night Divine???" I laughed and said I was - she had somehow come across it and made a connection back to me - she had also just discovered Catholic Cuisine and was spreading the word. It was funny and I felt kind of famous.
