Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would like to organize a small crafty Christmas card swap with 10 other families. The rules are pretty simple:

1) Keep the cards Christ-centered. There are many symbols of the season including candy canes, wreaths, Christmas trees, stars, 12 Days of Christmas, Advent, the nativity etc. I would just like to shy away from the more agnostic, commercialized themes.

2) Include in your card some info about your family and especially any prayer requests that we can offer on your family's behalf. We'd love to pray for your families.

3) Please sign up only if you think your family can craft the cards and mail them off no later than the 20th, but the sooner the better as we like to decorate with Christmas cards. (Of course, one of the beautiful things about Christmas is that it lasts for awhile).

**Update** The date for sending off the cards is December 20th, not November 20th. I needed to clarify that.

4) I'd like to throw in an optional 11th card for Barbara Curtis who Elizabeth Foss recently wrote about in her blog. Anyone wanting to embrace this Catholic convert and pray for her husband and family at this time may do so by making an extra card for her family.

So everyone who participates will be receiving 10 homemade cards and lots of prayers. Please PM me with your address if interested.

Blessings

Thanks for signing me up. Since we are doing the food-free celebration this year, I know my dc will spend some happy afternoons "cooking" up cards

You're most welcome. I got the idea from the Crafty Crow who announced yesterday that Kids Weekly was doing a crafty card exchange. It sounded like fun. We still need some families who want to join in. Hopefully within the next few days we will have enough and then I will send everyone a PM with the addresses.

Blessings!

Hello,

Well, there's 5 of us total that want to do the card exchange. I still think it would be a great thing for our kids even if we only give and receive 4 cards. I know we plan on making cards for family and our Little Flowers group so we will still have quite an assembly going. So, if it's alright with everybody who PMed me, I'll email everyone with all the addresses by this coming Wednesday at the latest. I'm looking forward to doing this.

Blessings,

Elizabeth
