Last night, as I was getting my son's pajama's out of the closet, I noticed a clipboard on the floor of his room with a letter written on it. On closer inspection, I saw that it was written by my eleven year old daughter. I thought you might like to read it.
Dear American Girl,
My name is Margaret Kitteredge, A.K.A. Kit. That's right--I'm one of your very own American Girl dolls. My owner, Alice, and my sister, Emily, an American Girl of Today, love your company and dolls very much. However, about a month ago, Alice's parents discovered that you were selling armbands to donate to Girl's, Inc., a company that supports many views and causes to which we are strongly opposed. I got together with some friends of mine, and we decided to hold a protest meet. Below are the signatures of all the doll owners (as well as those of their dolls) who participated in this protest. We regret to inform you that if our prayers and letters go unheeded, we WILL boycott your company, depriving you of many devoted customers.
Signed,

Wow!
What an imaginative way to protest. I love Alice's letter. My dd (15) wrote them as well. In addition to all the adults, it's a good idea for girls to write.

Alice,
What a beautiful letter. How creative! Congratulations.
Isabella and Juliana said they wanted to write letters but they haven't done it yet.
I think I'll encourage them today.

Alice, your daughter's letter is fantastic! Great idea to have the girls write directly. I hadn't thought of it.

Dear Laura and all,
Allie would be very honored and thrilled to have you all sign. Please feel free to print out the letter (or cut and paste it to a word document before printing), have your girls and their dolls sign, and mail it to AG. Perhaps you could even collect signatures from other homeschoolers!
I don't have time to look up the address, but Ellen Brothers is the president of AG, and we are sending our letter directly to her.
Love, Alice
