Any other Moms of boys ever feel especially...oh, I don't know the word! Misty?

We are growing these boys up to be Men, and to leave, and be the head of their own family.
With daughters...the relationship is so different.

sigh.

Ladies, I just don't know how much more change this mommy-brain can deal with this year.

Nicholas is my only child to hit the double digits.

It really was a big deal for me.

No matter which birthday we celebrated from then on, he would never be in the single digits again. Yes, it was more emotional than I thought it would be.    When he turned 9, I remember thinking I still had 9 years until he reached 18. At 10 (!!!), if he left to college at 18, I have less time with him than he has been alive.

Monday he turns 12....my baby is going to be a tween! Time seems to have sped up. I'm down to six years before college.

Now I'm getting emotional.
