Thomas Jacob arrived on 08/08/08 at 10pm. Yes I got to watch some of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics before I had to get down to business.
I had a bit of a scare when the epidural completely paralyzed me from just below the chest down. I kind of freaked out a little at this, but did remember I could offer it up so I concentrated on that. I had to push before I could move my legs which was a strange experience. But aside from that everything else went smoothly. God blessed me with one of the best doctors in our OB group and she was able to take care of me so there is little bleeding and pain after the birth.
Thanks to all of your prayers along the way. Your prayers were certainly appreciated.

How exciting. 
We have a hsing mom in our group awaiting #8 this month. She was hoping #8 would come 08/08/08 but the day passed with no phone call or eloop announcement.
Glad it was a memorial day for you though.

Congratulations!!! What a great date for your son's birth! Easy to remember! My husband and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on that day!
And my daughter went to a friend's birthday party that day. He was turning 8 on 08/08/08!
