Hi Ladies,
Since I live so far away from so many things (including other homeschoolers), I have not yet ever attended a homeschooling conference or workshop. This year, I decided to purchase some talks on cd - the Real Learning ones from last year, and the FCL ones from this summer. I also have the "Haystack" book coming, as well as "Picture Perfect Childhood". I'm looking to stockpile some "mom motivation" type stuff that I can both use now, as I plan, and later, when I start to feel the pull of burn out.
Can anyone give me other ideas? I prefer listening to talks or reading an actual book to surfing around on the computer (which I love to do, and find that it eats up too much time and I don't actually get as much out of it!)

Have you tried finding talks on the computer that you can download and listen to? I don't think they're homeschooling but EWTN has talks and there's some radio shows as well..
What sort of things motivate you? are you looking for something to relax and laugh or something to inspire or new techniques or ???

That's a good idea, I hadn't looked on EWTN yet. Actually, I know that Danielle Bean was on EWTN recently, and I missed it, maybe I could get that one. I'm looking for mom-type inspiration, as well as homeschooling ideas. This is only my second year of homeschooling and there just is not support for it around here, so I need to be proactive and make an effort!

Itunes has some free homeschooling podcasts that you can download. I don't know about all the them, but I know there are some there from Sonlight.
