Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy and Jen Sal yesterday. We talked and laughed and the kids (11 of them)played like old buddies. It was a wonderful morning/afternoon . I'm not sure how to post photos here, but I will try later today.
On the drive home one of my dc said "That was WAY fun!" and I think that sums it up very well

ETA: Here are the pictures!

Of all the blessings that 4Real has brought, one of the highest is how many friends I have made in real life from this board. It is a blessing to meet them in person! Sounds like a wonderful time, wish I was there!

You can post pictures on sites like Flickr or Photobucket and then copy the url here, so it will show up in the forum.

Thaks, Jenn! I don't have those accounts, so I'll post to my blog and link here.

That'll work too! I always love when I bring my kids and we meet 4realers ... they finally make the connection that mommy is actually TALKING to real folks when she's on that green screen!    And we always leave (harder for them then me, sometimes!) with "when are we going to do that again" or "can we go see them tomorrow"

You don't necessarily have to be amember of one of those photo host sites. If you have a blog with an uploaded picture you have a host already and you can get that photo to appear here in the forum thread (not just the link!).

Go to your blog, right-click on the photo you want, selecting "copy image location" then come here and click on "Add Image" button, and paste the copied location code in. Some browsers don't have the "Copy image location" option when you right click. So in that case another way to do it is to actually click on the picture on your blog. When it pulls up the image the the address for it will be in your URL address box. Copy that line and then come back to the forum and follow the steps outlined above.

Yay! I dream someday I will get to meet some of you. I just finished "Haystack Full of Needles" and I have to say I yearn for that kind of group IRL! Not that there aren't a lot of really great home educators in the area, just not a lot of Catholics. And the shared faith makes such a difference...

Well, I hope to get to see Liz before long. ;-) I got to see Elizabeth from "A Catholic Mom Climbing the Pillars" blog on Wed. in Fayetteville. We went to the Maronite church with a group and then went to the Airborne Museum. Too bad we didn't get to spend more time together... maybe we can get together soon in NC!

My favorite moment was looking at "Catholic Mosaic" books on my shelf and having a heartfelt discussion on which books we had, wanted and how to get OOP books!

So great to find like mined bookaholics!!!

Great photos!

Meetups are wonderful. I so enjoyed the IHM Conference in June...didn't want to leave...I met Mary G. and Irene and Fuzzy and so many others...I met Jenn and Carole at the 4Real conference last year...isn't it wonderful to know you can just pick up IRL where you left off online?

The truth is, as Anne of Green Gables would say, kindred spirits know each other...and that's how I think of everyone here, as kindred spirits.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos!

My feelings, exactly. I left Betsy's feeling like I'd been with true, long-time friends.

Okay, I should be sleeping but I just HAD to beat Liz to this...

Liz and her lovely wonders came over today for a Queenship party, as well as another lurker on this board.

We had SUCH a great time! I wish I had thought to invite all of the NC 4Realers but I will next time!

Queenship of Mary party

We *definitely* are going to set up some regional get-togethers in our territory. I'm going to try to check out the calendar in the next week and get some booked!

God bless!

You beat me JoAnna! I will add, my kids had so much fun and were happy to tell their papa all about it tonight when he got home. I really enjoyed it too. It is so good to be with like-minded friends and I feel so uplifted tonight

And yes folks, that Mary doll is one of the best crafts I've seen in a long time. Very neat. My dds are already thinking "who" else they could make with dish liquid bottles.

Oh, and BTW JoAnna, I didn't even get lost coming home Thanks you again for such a nice day!
