Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So what do you do when sleep evades you?

Wens I was quite sick and slept for almost 18 hours out of 36 hours. Today I am better. Unfortunately I consumed too much caffeine on an empty stomach this evening. Add that to worry over my dh. He is traveling and today came down with what I had yesterday. I haven't heard from him since 1 this afternoon, when he called to tell me that he was checking back into his hotel to sleep it off. I didn't want to call and wake him, but I hoped he would call. He might just be still sleeping, but I worry.

So I cleaned the kitchen and baths, sorted the laundry, worked on lesson plans, watched the news, and wandered around my house. I have to "wake up" in 4 hours to take my oldest to drill team. Sigh, I am not sure I will sleep at all at this point, but don't know what to do with myself.

So what do to?

LeeAnn

I've been a night owl again since giving up Pepsi. Wierd. I just haven't been able to sleep...more energy.

I just wasted two hours on my blog and surfing the web. Trying to add a picture...couldn't...could...didn't like it...seriously, it was a waste of time!

Usually, I do the same things you do...clean, lesson plan, meal plan, or read.

I have to "wake up" in two hours to cook my sweetie breakfast before he heads off to work.

We are looking at a fun day ahead.

Glad you're feeling better. Praying your dh was able to sleep it off.

Well now it is 6:30 and time to "wake up"
I did manage to finish painting my kitchen cabinets, and the stairwell to the basement. So I guess it wasn't wasted time. But it is going to be a looong day.

Great job, LeeAnn!

I only spent time cleaning the bathrooms    next time I'll try some painting.

It's 4:40 here and breakfast is made.

Last night I worried, and sewed ds's birthday gift. I guess we were all up at about the same time. I will offer my long day for all of you who were also up.

Just heard from my DH. He is recoving from his bout. He did just sleep from noon yesterday until this morning. Hopefully he will be home this evening. We haven't seen him since Monday and are missing him. Yesterday was his b-day, so I need to figure something nice to do for him when he gets home.

Dropped off my oldest at drill team. The rest are still sleeping all curled in my bed. Fighting the urge to join them.

I am often up late - last night for me the last time I looked at the clock was 1:30...but then I was up again at around 5. sigh. I usually end up spending WAY too much time on the internet....
