As usual, there are many expectant mothers here. I'm begining to lose track of who is expecting and where they are in their pregnancies. If you want, check in here and share a little bit about your pregnancy etc... The Pilgrim Virgin will be visiting our home starting Wednesday, I will pray for you all at her feet by name.
I am creeping up on 13 weeks now, and feeling SO much better. I have my first visit with my "ladies" on Thursday. (This is the 9th pregnancy that I have been with these wonderful midwives!). I am really excited about having a winter baby, this will be the first. I am sure it will make Feburary brighter! :) I finally told my mother about the baby, and as expected, she was less than thrilled, but that's okay. The kids are crazy excited, as is Dh, and that's all that matters to me.

I have an appointment with the midwives morning to discuss a placenta previa they saw at a 19 week sonogram. It could move (best case scenario) or it could be embedded in the c-section scar (worst case scenario). I'm spent wayyy too much time this past week worrying about how the worst case scenario plays itself out. My prayer right now is for peace following this visit.
And it's always so nice to hear our baby girl:-)!

I am 8 weeks and feeling pretty gross most of the time...although today is off to a better start so I shouldn't complain!
I need to call the midwives and get an app't. scheduled...I think I don't want to think about all those long drives coming up!
My dh and kids are super excited. All the "men" want a boy and all the girls want a girl!
Thanks for offering to pray!
So glad to hear you're feeling better, Lisa!

I'll be 37 weeks Thursday with our first girl. As I posted in the prayer forum yesterday, I am hoping for a VBAC after two c-sections, and won't be trying again for VBAC if it doesn't happen, so there are plenty of opportunities for anxiety here. Everything else has always been normal about my pregnancies, I've never had to deal with bedrest or unusual concerns about the baby's health or mine, but the idea of baby (no name yet) and me being prayed for is very very comforting, thank you!
Praying for the other ladies as well...

I'm 32 weeks now, only 8 weeks to go!!
I have to say that this has been a great pregnancy, one of my best. Sorry ladies I DO NOT mean to be insensitive . I didn't realise Elizabeth that your baby was another girl!! How wonderful! I bet Marybeth is thrilled. Well I think we're having a boy, only intuition so I could be wrong, the only trouble is I don't quite like the name dh is really keen on.
I went for my first ob visit today I was so looking forward to seeing him again, I've had him for the last four babies and am quite fond of him. He mentioned contraception which I took as a given, they have to legally, but then asked if I wanted to have my tubes tied whilst we were at it. I laughed it off but was quite taken aback, he then went on about the risks etc as I am a grand multigravida, I reminded him that all of my births have been simple, no complications and I'm only 36 anyway. Apparently it's not my age but number of births. It quite spoilt my visit.
On the bright note the midwives took it all in their stride and were pleased to see me, when they mentioned 'I was coming back' I told them it 'was their wonderful service' and we all shared a laugh.
So pleased all is going well Lisa, its good that you've got to a place where you are able to accept that dh's opinion is what matters most.

I'm at 20 weeks and have and OB appointment today to get a sonogram. We're not finding out if it is a boy or girl. A part of me wants it to be a boy so my 1 yo has a same sex playmate and so my 10 yo DSD can be the only girl for a little longer. She doesn't live with us for most of the year and I don't want her to feel "replaced" by a baby girl. But I figure God knows our situation and will do what's best for our family.

I'm just about 16 weeks and headed in to visit my MW right now. Still feeling yucky, and missing my regular MW, who is on sabbatical until at least Sept.
I'll be offering up my nerves for you, Elizabeth - and looking forward to hearing some good news about the previa.
Blessings,

Congratulations to all the moms here!
I am 38 weeks (tomorrow) and due to have my large baby boy on August 7th, with my first c-section. I have gestational diabetes with this baby, and he is VERY large, so we are going to keep mommy and baby safe by doing the section.
I haven't had to deal with the GD for very long, but it has been very stressful, including the stress on mommy's body with such a large baby (I am just over 5'1" and he will be bigger than 9 lbs). That probably has been the toughest part of this pregnancy. Now, if we could only decide on a name....

We're 16 weeks!! So far so good. I've been off meds (for nausea and acidity) for almost a week now. And able to eat most foods, EXCEPT fruit. I cannot take any fruit at all because they cause so much acid. I will be trying cantaloupe today though.
This will be a very loooong day as I am playing chauffeur to my kids who have lots of activities (just today) and hubby is in Italy until Saturday so no help with the shuttling around. I'm trying to keep stress-free by focusing on just driving -- no chores or cooking -- and we'll be doing fast food. Or at least Whole Foods pizza.
Offering my going-to-be-very-tiring day for all of you my fellow pregnant mommies.

I'm almost 13 weeks as well (are we due the same day, Lisa--2/14?)
No doubt thanks to prayers from the lovely women here I have not been very sick this pregnancy. Completely exhausted but since we've also just moved cross-country its hard to know how much of that to blame on pregnancy!
It's still on my to-do list to find a home birth midwife here but I have some names to call. This is only my third but also my first winter baby. And in Minnesota! Yikes! I need to buy an entire maternity wardrobe for this one.

I am roughly 26 weeks into what has been up to now a very uneventful pregancy. This will be baby number 8 for us, and will either bring our children into parity (we currently have 4 boys and 3 girls) or will swing it back to the boys column!
I had to take the blood glucose test last week and as in the past my body is very sluggish in dealing with that amount of sugar being poured into it. However, my ob wanted me to check in with my endocrinologist (whom I see for my thyroid) and he wants me to monitor my blood sugar level 4 times a day for the next two weeks and then probably less frequently after that.
I have been borderline gestational diabetic with a couple of other pregnancies, but have always been able to control it with diet. (I can definitely commiserate with Fuzzy, as I am only 5'1/2" tall and my fourth baby was 9lbs 11oz! When I delivered my second son who weighted in at 7lbs 14oz, my doctor said that was as big a baby as I would ever be able to deliver naturally...I guess I proved him wrong!) I am assuming that this time will be no different. My weight gain has been pretty low this far...only 20lbs so far. That will probably go down now that I am going to be cutting out most of the simple carbohydrate and the breads and pastas.
I will be praying for all of you lovely ladies.
Peace.

I'm 36 weeks pregnant and I'm embarrased to admit it, because it sounds so ungrateful...but I'm sooooo looking forward to holding this babygirl in my arms and being done with this pregnancy. I'm still nauseated , still taking medications, although I'm not vomiting anymore.
I'm planning a homebirth with a midwive. My first birth was at the hospital with a gyn (slightly too high bloodpressure prevented the midwives from attending me at home, grrrr), my second birth was at home.
I'm a bit worried about my eldest daugther during the birth. She and her little sister will go to my parents, even though she doesn't want to go. My past labors were quiet long and painful and I don't think hearing your mom scream for hours is a very good idea . Any prayers for her (and mine) peace of mind are very welcome.
This time I have asked a very good friend to attend the birth. She needs to travel a couple of hours to get to my place, but I'm hopeful she will make it...that is the bright side to having a long labor .

I am 5 weeks along, and just had my first appt. with my doctor today. I had to find a new ob, since the one who delivered my twins is no longer delivering babies. It's too bad, because I really liked her.
I go in next week for my first u/s. I requested an early one, mostly because I didn't find out I was having twins until my 20 week u/s (although I sort of knew anyways), and I think it would help dh cope a lot more if we knew earlier this time. Plus I've had one miscarriage already and I need to see that everything is ok. I haven't told anyone yet (aside from online), and I will wait to add the edd to my siggy until after my u/s.
Mostly I'm just tired, slightly nauseaus, really bloated and I have to pee a lot.

13 weeks today and finally having more good days than bad. Had my first appointment with my wonderful midwives last week and got a surprise ultrasound. What a treat! I've never gotten to see my babies so early. All is good, baby measures exactly right. But my uterus measures waaayy bigger (like 18 weeks!), which is why they checked for possibly two babies. I still have a nagging fear/hope that there may be more than one in there, especially this week, I feel huge and I've never been this sick when pregnant.
Begging Our Lord for a boy, not because I care, but my poor son wants a brother so bad he can't stand it.

I'll see him on Wednesday Mary. If all goes well maybe we'll run into each other there sometimes!
I'm 8 weeks pregnant. Praying very hard, after 3 losses in a row, that this time I get a baby!

I'll be 37 weeks on Friday with baby #5 and also heading to my 20 year H.S. reunion
We have four boys who are hoping for another brother, but I know they will be thrilled either way. I have been blessed with a really easy pregnancy and look forward to meeting this little one soon (although we still haven't settled on a boys name yet, if needed).
