Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

we are building a house and i noticed that our neighbor has goats. i am sure he is raising them for milk as that is common here. i was thinking about asking him if he would sell me some milk. but first i want to know if there are things i should look for before buying from him. (cleanliness, diet, etc) i have drunk raw cows milk, but not goats. is there anything special i should do before drinking it? heat it up? should it have a certain smell?
i read on another post that patuerizing it takes out the sweetness, but would heating it do that?
all help and wisdom is very appreciated

Cleanliness, of course, is important. Maybe you could ask him to come over and watch him milk the goats. Kind of a homeschool field trip. This would let you see his operation.   In my experience, just make sure everything is clean and that the milk gets into the fridge. I know what they eat and the breed of goats can change the flavor. Some breeds have higher fat content.
