I just went to confession this morning after many years away from the Church. It felt so right. Tomorrow I am sharing Mass with my children for the first time in their lives. My husband has agreed to come with us.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you. Without your realizing it, you have helped me to make this decision. A lot of things have happened to lead me here, and one of them has been reading this forum for many months. Your blogs and Elizabeth's book (and tapes) are also among those things. The support, strength, hope, encouragement, dedication and love I have seen on this board (and in many of your blogs) has shown me a side of the Catholic Church that fulfills me and my motherly heart.

That's such wonderful news! I'm not surprised. Even though I'm not one of the more involved members, this board has influenced the way I look at some of the more important issues in my life.

Thank you for sharing your very moving story. Those always make me weepy. .
That God chooses to use this forum (and member blogs) as a means for the voice of the Holy Spirit to reach out to members and readers is an incredible blessing for us all. It is all His doing and any way that we are part of the instrument is so .... I can't even think of a word to use, so will just say "incredible" again.

Tracey--Thank you so very much for sharing your story with us, and welcome home. I will offer my Mass tomorrow for you and your family. I pray your celebration of the Eucharist is joyous, miracluous, wonderous....heavenly.
A good friend of mine in his homily at his first Mass said receiving the Eucharist is like God lifting the veil of heaven for one moment and swooping down to give His beloved child a kiss. Enjoy your Father's love tomorrow.
