My husband wrote the most beautiful letter to his mother who died 10 years ago today.

And that is an amazing tribute to her--that her son turned out to be such a wonderful man...

Sniffle.

My MIL has been gone since 1981...I never had the chance to meet her, either. DH was in high school. And he misses her so much...she's never seen more than half of her dgc...its rough, sometimes, but we deal.

We recently moved to be closer to our families too--DH retired from the Army after 20+ yrs...its nice to be closer...

Many prayers for your MIL--and your sweet DH..

Very sweet, Cindy! Thank you for sharing.

My own mil was dying, when we got married.......and thus our wedding was her big last hurrah. It was beautiful to have her there. I was just looking at pictures of her last night, in fact. I only knew her for about 1.5 years, but we became very close and I am so glad.........because although my children have never met her.........I try to keep her memory alive in their hearts.....by talking about her often........and EVERY rosary we have ever prayed for the last 25 years, has been offered up for her.

I sure miss her.

I am sorry your husband has to miss his mother.

I am glad he has you.
