So I am sitting on the couch with my teenage son who is home from school sick, but not too sick to text, of course. I mean, who is ever too sick to text?

 | Anyway, he suddenly turns to me and says "You're pregnant?!!!!"
 I say "Ummm, no."
"Grace said that you just called her mom and told her you were pregnant again!" Can you picture the look of relief on this poor 16 yr old's face? I mean he just had a baby brother born three months ago, how could he face another pregnancy so soon?!
 Pretty funny,huh?!
Way to go, Grace! Happy Aprils Fool's Day!

So, speaking of April Fools'...Anyone play any April Fools jokes today?

What are the best April Fools' pranks you've been part of?

Anyone ever try the funny/fake food ideas from Family Fun? I've wanted to but never gotten around to it.

My daughter Grace was born on April Fools Day and out of all my children she is the most exuberant one, always laughing.

I remember one year (and you can only really do this once and when they are young) she woke up on the 1st and said, "It's my birthday today, isn't it?" (We had been counting down the days with her) and I said to her, "No, you still have one more day to go." Her face dropped as we was sure it that day...and then I said, "APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!" What an awful mum I am!!!

I did an April fools blog post. My 2yo has been sick, so it was the best my sleep-deprived brain could come up with!

One of my younger sisters was the queen of April Fool's jokes. Saran Wrap on the toilet might be funny to some, but it is not funny to the person who is using the toilet. Substituting the salt and sugar does not make for a tasty meal. My mom showed my sister how to short sheet a bed.

My husband got totally taken in by Gmail's "Custom Time" feature they rolled out today. He was panicking about how to be able to tell if his students actually turned in their papers on time. I came over to read what he was so upset about and remembered the date. Pretty funny. I was a major prankster in college but I hated getting pranked, so I didn't indulge too often.

Um...my husband wrote a blog post for me and then we colored the children's milk blue this morning in the carton. It was a paper carton so they didn't notice until they were pouring it onto their cereal. My oldest daughter returned the favor by rearranging the silverware drawer so that when you thought you were grabbing a spoon (because who really has to look anyway?) you ended up with a fork. She also replaced an empty box of wet wipes with tissues instead. Thank goodness no one is in diapers anymore! Later on in the afternoon, my girls were sporting clip-on hair extensions in order to fool their Daddy when he came home and found them with pink streaks in their hair! Yeah, we had a little fun today!

My son was born on April Fool's Day, too.
He turned six years old today.
While I was in labor, the nurses pulled a prank on my obsetrician. (It was a slow day at the hospital.) Apparently, one nurse got in an empty delivery room and hid her face. Then they called the doctor and told him that they had this patient who had done everything wrong ... They just rattled off everything that one does NOT do while pregnant. He was livid. Then they made him go in the room, and the poor man was trying to be calm and professional, but the "patient" just screamed at him to leave her alone. The poor man was a mess, and then they all just started laughing their heads off. I could hear the laughter from my room.

When he came in to check on me, I asked him what had happened, and when he told me (in a much funnier way than I just posted), I was busting a gut ... but I still took two more hours to deliver Miguel.

My dd and ds filled my dh's medicine cabinet with playmobil men. We fixed "sushi" for dinner (ended up with it for dessert) from a familyfun recipe using rice krispy treats rolled up with green fruit by the foot wrapped around each roll.

My dd duct taped the sprayer on my kitchen sink, so when I walked up to the sink, phone at my ear and baby on my hip, turned it on, the sprayer shot all over me and the baby, causing me to shriek into the phone (sorry Nikki!

Happy Birthday Helen Rose and Miguel, my Grace will be very happy to know she shares this interesting but special day with others. Someone told me only a couple of days ago some lovely saint was born on this day too and do you think I can remember who it was?

We, oh, ummm, I mean the kids
, saran wrapped DH's car. I waited for MONTHS to do it after reading about it online somewhere. You're supposed to wrap the car early in the morning so the saran wrap can't be seen.
We drove out to my husband's job and had fun. He was working late, so I thought he wouldn't notice it because it would be dark by the time he got off work.

Someone at his job told him....
    .
It doesn't matter because our kids had so much fun trying to complete their mission! It was hilarious because they really thought they got their daddy.
 DH played along.
