Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

..and I usually use the rural envelopes to leave for my mail person to bring my stamps to my mailbox. This week I went in to the PO and the counter person clued me in to the Forever stamp. Pay your 41 cents a stamp now and the stamps are good for...forever! Even with postage increases. I have no idea how the post office can do this but.....I am glad. I don't have to go in a buy x number of y cent stamps every 6 months so I can use my old ones!!!!

Just be sure you're buying the "forever" stamps as they'll try to sell you the specific denomination ones; also, our po is limiting the number you can buy from the machines ... once postage goes up, the forever stamps will then cost the new postage amount -- it just saves on them having to reprint stamps every few months.

I guess I am the one who is behind the times here.
Dh tells me they have been around for awhile. And I have had them before. But I guess never knew.
I think I am going in to buy a large amount my next trip to the PO.
I guess the savings on reprint fees, when prices go up, helps if there is no denomination on them. That makes a little more sense to me. I don't have to worry as much about our USPS going under

Didn't it just recently hit .41? What's the new price?

Anne, don't feel bad. Obviously I'm living under a rock - !
