Yes I know I am so funny .
Are there TV's out there that are to old hook a Wii up to? Can you hook it up through the cable box? Are they easy to set up? Meaning can I, and I can barely work my cell phone, figure it out?
My dc are going to pay for half of the Wii. We are not going to get it until sometime in June so I have lots of time for Wii-search but I always come here first.

My mil just got one to share with our oldest son...it will remain at their house and he can earn up to three hours a week to spend playing it by completing school work, chores, and time with his brothers to satisfaction...that being said, they finally fond one n Houston this weekend, and myfil (who can't work his REGULAR phone properly) and 9yo got it hooked up quite easily. I think all you need is a cable ready TV...if it will accept dvd/vcr input and output, it should work for the Wii. Incidentally, the older and younger crowd really love it, and worked up quite a sweat playing.

You might need a little attachment for some much older tvs, but I'm going out on a limb and saying that it can be done.
As matter of fact, hooking up VCRs, programming cell phones, etc is one of the few things I can actually do so --- I'll come over if you want

Just looked it up - I found a discussion about the exact same question on Amazon discussions!
I really don't want to scare you off with the details - it's not bad and it can be hooked up.
Does your tv have the white, red, yellow cable holes?

OK - for the cave dwellers...it's a Nintendo video game system - all the rage when it came out a couple years ago. You may have "heard" of it but not made the connection as it has such a weird spelling - wii is pronounced "we." What separates it from other game systems is that it is physically more interactive. For example you bowl by standing and swinging your arm like you would in a bowling alley. Our family got one from my bil's family this year and it's actually pretty fun - and I don't do video games usually.

Sorry to leave you all hanging and wondering what I am talking about, I'm glad Jen and Mary filled you in.
Jen, thanks for the info, we have FIOS so we can probably set this up also.
