Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My van broke down the other day at Sam's Club an hour from home; I had 6 of my eight children with me. It was nighttime, cold, a terrible fog set in, it had to be towed and I had to get everyone home. Needless, to say I was a little flustered. Before heading out to Sam's I had picked up my completed taxes; all our financial info, ss#'s (including all of the children's) were in this envelope and I forgot it in the van in the confusion.

My concern is our identity, especially the children's. I am hoping and praying everyone who came in contact with our van was honest (or hopefully didn't see the paperwork at all)and nothing happened. My question is how do you go about protecting your ID? How would you check on the IDs of your children?

Thanks for any info / help you can provide and a prayer too would be great.

Oh Maddie,

Praying for quick recovery of forgotten items (though not lost items, I'll pray to St Anthony for this intention), honest workmen, and peace of mind.

We're still looking for my husband's lost iPod after workmen had been here and it was the one thing he forgot to hide. I'm not blaming anyone, but we've been missing the iPod for a few months now.

Hoping for the best for you. God bless,

Call each of the credit report bureaus - tell them you could become a victim of fraud - put a fraud alert on all the ss# nos concerned - and you should get free credit reports for everyone.

Keep an eye on all your bank and credit card accounts. Maybe call your bank and credit account and tell them what happened and tell them to report to you any strange activity.

Praying that nobody saw the information.
