Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Whoa. You almost scare me, Pamela...lol

I am a soon to be former Army wife (DH is retiring). We've been married almost 13 yrs. We have five dc--three girls, and then twin boys born this last May (8mos now...). No new one on the way though--which is okay, given we are trying to move to a more rural area. I converted at Easter 2006, and we're modest (take that to mean skirts/dresses "only"--we have a few pairs of pants/jeans which we wear when absolutely necessary, which isn't often). We're getting ready to move to a more rural area (AR/OK/KS from NC) so that we can do some light farming (mostly chickens and a really big garden for me to handle, since DH is retiring mostly because he is over-time and massively messed up physically from 20+ yrs in the army).

Oh, and when we married, I was barely 21 (6 days past my bday), but DH was almost 30....lol

Lots in common, there. LOL

Welcome!

Rachel

Welcome! I noticed that our screen names are almost the same.
I'm not an Army wife, but I am an Army mom.

Welcome, Pamela!

It is nice to see how some of us have the military in common.

We are a retired Army family. DH retired about 2 1/2 years ago after 20 years of service. We married 19 years ago when I was 18 and he was 23.

I look forward to getting you know you through these wonderful boards. It's my favorite place on the internet!
