Hello!
My sister made the announcement here, but I wanted to finally tell you his name and post a few pictures.
We named him Maximilian Joseph and will call him Max.
He's doing just beautifully and is healthy and growing fast. The birth was the opposite of what I had planned and wanted - you would have thought this was our first baby! Cash couldn't believe my indecisiveness all day and I'm still trying to figure it out myself! :)
[Edited to say - I deleted all the dumb details. After re-reading, and knowing so many people have lost their babies, it seems so silly to still be sad about it. I'm sorry!]
The short story is that I didn't have the natural birth I wanted, but he's here and fine and just beautiful! We're trying to really just soak in all of this goodness and smallness and wonderfulness knowing it will just go by too fast!
Wow, this is so long - (not anymore!)
Anyway, thank you for all of the thoughts and prayers and congratulations already posted in the other thread!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers, especially the moms still waiting to have their babies this month.

Oh Erica! I'm sorry there was so much angst...sounds like my last. But the healthy baby at the end, the beautiful little gift, is so worth it isn't it? Congratulations again!

I'm sorry it wasn't just the way you wanted, but I'm glad you're enjoying the little perfection! My baby is almost 9 months now, and it's gone by in a blink!

CONGRATULATIONS, ERICA!!! He is SO precious! (I can say that because I saw the pictures that Tim is uploading.  )
The birthing process -- I've not had one yet that went the way *I* wanted it to go. The important thing is that he is well.

Erica, It is hard when labours go 'awol' like that, I'm sure they knock off a good chunk off our purgatory and it is a blessed relief to be on the other end of it now with you well and a beautiful boy to show for it all - look forward to seeing Max's photos!
