Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

...clean out your basement/toy room. School today is practical life skills. We are doing a massive clear out which is great - bags and bags of stuff to give away and bags and bags to throw out. ( and I must add that I am not a hoarder - I clear out on Flylady principles very often. Also we do not spend a lot on toys. So where does all this stuff come from??!!!)

I am using this as my opportunity to clear out a lot of useless MIC junk too.

The kids are looking around and seeing how much useless stuff we have - and it is helping us in our desire to simplify Christmas

I know. Isn't it unbelievable? We purge on a monthly basis (ala flylady) too, and it STILL piles up!!!!

Hooray, Marilyn!

I went through my girls clothes the other night and got rid of 5 black garbage bags    We are tackling toys now    It is unbelievable how this stuff multiplies.

Just today I had a child run up and get a garbage sack and we were going to clear out useless stuff and toss. . .then the baby woke, but I'll get back to it.

And I was thinking about Christmas too. . .its going to be more simple.
