Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're starting to think about maybe planning to decide to move perhaps in the next year and one of our top choices is Kansas City. I have a sister there but she is young and doesn't have kids so she can't give me the kind of help I need. If you live in Kansas City could you PM me or respond here? I'm curious how the job market is, how the Catholic Homeschool network works, is it a kid-friendly area, things like that.

I don't live in KC, but my brother's live in the KC area. I can check with them. I am not far(about an hour and a half south).

I don't live in KC either, I'm about an hour and a half south too (hmmm.....), but I know there's a great HS community. There's a yahoo group, and members of several IRL groups from different parishes post there. They have a big Catholic HS conference every year.
My cousin, who is protestant, HS's her kids there, and they have lots of educational things to do outside the house. I wish we lived closer!

Yes, I have a friend that lived in Johnson County that still drives there for the hs group. She says it is great. I haven't been able to get a hold of my brotehr's to let you know about the job market, but I do think it is fairly kid friendly. I know my neices and nephew are pretty involved in good kid stuff.
