What is an appropriate gift to give to a young man for this occasion.

Do you have a Boy Scout Shop nearby? When a friend of ours got his, I remember that was where we found a nice gift....however, Mommy-brain is preventing me from remembering exactly what it was now....

You could also check out the official Scout Shop on the internet. They have many different Eagle Scout remembrances that are not always available in the local Scout Shop.

or if you're looking for something more useable.. you might find out what sort of gear he might need.. and/or consider a gift certificate to a store with camping and hiking and fishing type of gear (cabelas, sportsman outlet, campmor and the like)

I would go with a nice frame that he could use later with pictures from his ceremony.

my almost Eagle Scout said a gift certificate to a camping/supply type store as listed in a previous post would be most appreciated!!
