It's pretty much the day before (depending where exactly we are—and you are:-) ) Seattle (where a friend of mine lived) was 12/13 hours behind Perth (where I am). (Actually, I guess a good rule of thumb is probably 12 hours behind... both of those are on the west coasts...)
