Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This year my ds7 is going to receive the sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion. With all of my other children I've gone with the flow and signed them up for the parish classes. I've led their classes just to be safe.
This year... well since we live out in the country bringing my son into town for these classes would be shall I say a waste of time? in a nice way of course.    After Mass on Sunday I talked to our priest about it. He thought about it for a minute and then told me that he knew I would teach my son about the Real Presence and that he would be more than properly prepared. He said not to worry about the classes or buying the books just bring him in for reception of the Sacraments when it was time. How wonderful is that!    He really sees the benefits of homeschooling and because of the other children and trusts dh and I to do our job. That's why we love our parish priest. He's also a very holy one too. I'm pretty happy about this.

Happy tears of joy for you, your family, priest, and parish! Our family has been blessed with similar circumstances for some of our children receiving some Sacraments. What a privilege!

Prayers for all!

Love,
