Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Yet another chance to buy books: B&N is doing their Educator's Week starting 10/13 and ending the 20th. Here's a link to more info -- note that they include homeschoolers. This deal includes 25%! off all books (whether for school or not) AND 10% of DVDs/music etc.

Enjoy!

Mary, how do you get their educator's discount card? I don't belong to any groups which have a card. I do have a Joann's teacher discount card; you can sign up online for it and go through PEAH without having anything "official."

Do you get a letter from your state? That is what I am planning on taking in. I was there yesterday and said I don't have my card yet, the saleslady was nice enough to give me the discount.

Karen -- I've never really had anything (except sometimes I have my kids standing there as I'm saying "yep, I homeschool" ). If I were you, I'd go by today or tomorrow and get the card (it's good till the next Oct 31 and you just get a new one next year).

I've never had any problem ... and usually the clerks can give you the form to fill-out and give you the card right away ... I'm surprised, Mary Chris, she didn't just do that!

But I'm thrilled that they specifically mention homeschoolers in their advertising! They must realize how much $$$$ Amazon gets from us!
