Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It's taken much longer than I'd hoped, and I was hoping that as time went on I'd go to Walsingham today (the feast day) but I think it's Wednesday. Any more requests? I'll be lighting lots of candles!

I am off to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in the next couple of weeks - when I can find a day free. And I wanted to ask if anyone has prayer requests they would like me to offer there and light candles for at the shrine. I will be asking especial intercession of St Thomas More who has relics there in the slipper chapel, if anyone has any especial adoption related prayers. It will be sometime before the end of the month. You can pm me if you like :o)

Please pray for my dear friends, who would so love to adopt a baby and can't seem to get a break from adoption agencies.

Thank you so, so much!

Oh, dear Lucy! You can pray for the Murphy intentions all you want!!! We would be most, humbly, eternally grateful! Thank you so much for your huge heart and thoughtfulness!

(As an aside, my mom thinks she's a descendant of St. Thomas More on the Roper side. Her mom was Elizabeth Roper. My mom is an Anglophile and has intense English pride--even though she has a lot of Irish, too.      She is on Henry VIII's side, philosophically, but still likes the idea of being descended from More. He is definitely a patron of mine---I love all that he was and is.)

We have many intentions as well. Thank you so much, Lucy -- we love Walsingham. We went on pilgrimage there -- well, more than once, but with particular zeal the year we moved to Cambridge, having no housing lined up in advance. Thanks to Our Lady's intercessions we were taken care of beautifully, so we had to go to Walsingham to thank her, obviously!

Have a lovely time, and thank you for praying for us.

Pax,

Sally

OH, I would be so grateful if you would include my family's intentions when you go. We have a lot going on here these days, and this family could sure use some answered prayers!

Thank you, thank you, so much, Lucy!

Lucy, if you could offer up some prayers on behalf of my DH--both his health, and for his future job and our relocation after retirement from the army.

Thank you so much!!!

Rachel

How sweet of you! I would be delighted if you could remember our family's intentions.

I just love Walsingham. When we lived in Cambridge we used to go there fairly often -- noon Mass followed by a trip the beach was always a good combination!

I never knew about St Thomas More, though -- I must have had my eyes shut.

Do you know about walking the holy mile barefoot?!

You are a dear...Please pray for Lily's health, my baby in NICU, that she is stable and can come home very soon...that she sees the doctors that she needs to see, and for strength and wisdom for my husband and me in taking good care of Lily, and the rest of the family!
God Bless!!!
