Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 2.5yo dd took acrylic paint from the shopping bag and proceeded to drip it across my dining room rug... ugh! Is there anything I can do to make it all better?? Did I mention that it is RED?

God love you!

Donna,

Why is it always RED or some other really BRIGHT color? Why can't it be a hue that blends nicely?????

Here's a link for cleaning paint from carpet -- hope it helps. The other side of it, or how we feel around here, is that eventually the littles will be bigs and these stains will become memories of when they had those itty bitty feet and colored the walls or picked paint off the molding

dunno about that color thing. As dh says..no half-stepping here!

Well..here is what I did. I took a spoon and lots of paper napkins and scraped the big goops off of the floor and made these wonderful reddish smeary marks. I then using dishwashing soap and water and a nail brush I made a lather and blotted that onto the stains as some of the kids armed with rags blotted it off after me. You can't even tell now...

It helps that I have a patterned area rug that has lots of burgundy accents... it was so hard to even FIND the stain to clean it after awhile. This is the same rug that Home Depot said they would take back because the seam on the end has been unraveling since day one...umm I don't think they would be so eager to give my money back if that rug looked like it was marauded!

Do you think it is safe to change out of my pj's now? Dare I take a shower??...decisions...decisions...

Thanks, Mary!

God love you!
