ALmom,
Isn't it wonderful! Yippee!!
We are quite excited about our new bishop as well. I've heard wonderful things about him from people I know who live in his current diocese (they are very sorry to be losing him). And I have heard that he is a "friend of EWTN" and quite supportive of the TLM.
By the way, ALmom, have you heard that EWTN will be broadcasting the TLM live from the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament on September 14 at 8:00 AM?

He was an awesome presence in Charleston and will be sorely missed! But Charleston's loss is definitely Birmingham's gain -- he's a GREAT Bishop who is very hands on and loving with his flock....
Please pray that Charleston gets a good replacement -- the South really needs strong, faith-filled Shepherds!
Melinda -- where are you from? We moved a year ago from Greenville and still have tons of family and friends in the Upstate

Congratulations! Let's hope this means the Military Ordinariate will hear similar good news, very soon!
