Help!

Anybody have any suggestions as to how I can get a keyboard working again after lemonade has been spilt on it. Some keys are sticking and others are not working at all.

Don't you just love children

You can CAREFULLY take the keyboard apart, pull out the keys and wash them. When dry put it back together. I have done it several times - for some reason coffee doesn't always make it to my mouth!

Just had to buy our 3rd keyboard because of spilt drinks.

Just don't get the cheap $10.00 one. The keys stick badly without the spilt drink.

Well- tea got mine, and I did it. Dh could not resurrect it. But by all means I would try taking it apart and drying it. Can't hurt- it might work.

We had the same experience as Cay. After replacing at least three keyboards, DH purchased a spill resistant keyboard for $40 (the perk is the mouse & keyboard are wireless -- I couldn't be too upset with dd after she placed a melting ice cream on the computer desk. I liked the replacement ).

Before the last incident (there was no help) I've had to lay the keyboard upside down to drain the liquid. The sticky sugar wore off by the time I got done beating the keyboard.

From time to time I've scrubbed down the keyboard using Q-tips with a little bit of cleaner on them. Sometimes the Q-tips can get down into some of the crevices. In fact, the little ones thought this was great fun to help out with.
