Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just came in from outside picking okra and green beans from our garden, and our garden is infested with ants! I got bit all over my arms and hands Tthey are crawling all over the plants and they are damaging the green bean plants. Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid if the ants without using a pesticide?
Also, does anyone have any idea why okra plants make you so itchy?
TIA

Also, maybe Diatomacous Earth? (Or it's called Silicea I think. )

It's a perfectly natural fine white powder that will slice the ants (or other crawling insects) when they crawl on it. It's not poisonous, and they don't take it back to their nests, it just kills the ones that walk on it.

I'm not sure if that will help but I hope so.
I hate ants. They are ALL over my kitchen counters this summer.
