Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have any experience with these or these? I have a pair of Crocs - the Nile that I love. I was wondering if anyone has a pair of the LL Bean ones and how they compare to the Crocs. Virginia has a tax-free weekend this weekend and I was considering investing in them. Any thoughts or experience? Thanks!

My sister who works at a shoe store said these types of shoes have little support - so if you get them, save them for short jaunts and not all day things.

I have been walking all over San Francisco in a pair of Slogger's Classic Clogs. They are light and extremely comfortable.

Then yesterday, I borrowed my daughter's Payless crocs because they matched my outfit, and my ankles and lower legs were hurting terribly by the end of the day. We hadn't even walked much at all, but I was driving for about an hour, and pushing on the pedals actually hurt in those shoes. After a while, I slipped them off and drove in my socks!

Dear Cindy,

I'm sorry for the bossy reply to your question. I felt bad about it after I posted it. Please forgive me. My sister had just "lectured" me a few days earlier about how she sees people with foot problems wearing these then complain how their feet hurt. And I'm sure you don't have foot problems to begin with. So, I'm sorry for being obnoxious.

I'm not Cindy, but I didn't find your answer obnoxious. I have foot problems and I worry about the same thing--flip flips, crocs, heels--so many of women's shoes have no support. But I NEED support, so I'm looking through my lenses.

Croc household here for DH's plantar fascitis (sp?). We have not tried the others. DD's have Crocs--they last. FYI-using the dishwasher does clean them but they seem to shrink. He has had to switch out of Berk's when they changed the foot shape.
No Crocs for me,Tevas and Berks either--both hurt my back. Keens are my favorites. They have support, a bit of a heel and are light weight.

I have found that the "crock-offs" (as dh calls them) are not near as good as the orginal (like so many other things...) Our entire family (of 8) have worn them now for about three years. Each has one summer pair (Cayman, I think) and one winter pair (without holes--don't remember the style name). And everyone has their designated color. Very helpful since 2 of my boys wear the same size and one ds wears my size. I've found that they are very durable, don't stink--ever-- (major bonus for us with 4 boys that used to stink out 2pr of sandals a summer ), and for as long as they've lasted, very reasonably priced!

I too had wondered about the Land's End version, but have been so dissapointed in all the other non-Crocs that I decided to abandon the rest of the comparisons.

Oh my gosh, Kelly! I was soo not offended - I didn't feel like you were bossy at all. Please don't feel bad. I appreciate any info people can give me.

I do love my 1 pair of Crocs. I have heard that the "croc-offs" weren't as good - and it seems to be the case at least for you, Aggie and Alice. I think I'll pass on the LL Bean version for now.

I do also have a pair of Tevas and 2 pairs of Birkenstocks that I love as well. I'm just really enjoying my Crocs right now.
