Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I didn't want to hijack the other thread.. I have a question, though. Has anyone used - or think it can be done - just within their family, or just with one child? I love the Little Flower/ Blue Knight items! And I think it looks fun - but is it only fun in a group setting?

Our Catholic Homeschool Group already has a program set up which our children participate in. It is two times a month during the school year. Back when they started it - many years ago! - I heard that they decided against using Little Flowers/Blue Knights. They actually get the "pins" (not patches, which I do like ) from this program although the leaders of each group design the activities, so they don't really use the program as such, just the pins. Does that make sense?

I don't know when I would have the time to lead (because I know I would have to lead it...) a LF group. But I do so love the patches, and I have some of the manuals from when my oldest was about 9, and she is now almost 18 (do you know, have they changed the manual much?)

So, can it be done with a single child? Is it worth it?

Thanks for any help,

Hi Laura,

I like the patches as well! :)

I think it could easily be done within one family and even with one child. The LF and BK books are set up so that the virtues match up, so it would probably work fine with a boy and girl mix. I think I've said before that we do LF once a month. You could do it like that focusing on the virtue for the entire month using additional resources and books for a nice virtue study. Hope that helps.

We do a LF group but it only has 4 girls. I don't think I would like a big group. I think you could do it with only 1 child but it is fun to do the crafts and tea party with a friend. Can you find just one other child?
