Don't you just want to run away!
My DH has been gone on travel for 5 days and won't be home until late Thursday.
I and 2 of my kids have caught summer colds and my head is so congested.
It's unseasonably hot and we don't have air.
I just wanted to watch Miss Potter tonight and my 2 yr old kept throwing toys at me Any redirection or scolding produced hysterical laughter and running away. He knew I was too tired to chase him!
To top it off my best friend moved away about 3 weeks ago so I can't have her over for tea.
So that's my pity party! I feel a little better now
thanks for "listening"

(((Ann)))
Since it's now after midnight on the west coast I can say you have 3 days down and only 2 more to go 'til your hubby comes home.
Something is going around. Summer colds seem to be the hardest to get through. Who wants hot chicken soup when the temps are so high here in WA new records are being set?
Can I pass you some chocolate or a big bowl of ice cream?
I hope things go better for you, Ann, and you get to watch the movie soon.

We are in the midst of the summer cold too. Mine has mostly cleared out, but now it is the kid's turn. They are so frustrated because it isn't enough to keep them in bed all day, but is enough that they can't go run and play. Those littlest ones sure can sense weakness can't they?
Take care!

Ann - hugs to you. I have certainly been there. It is very hard. I am glad you shared it with us as it always makes you feel better.

Thank you for sharing...sorry, this made me laugh out loud. I am waiting for Miss Potter to come in from Netflix. I think after Elizabeth gave her review the wait became very long. I have a cute lil boy that fits that description...and Yes! sometimes I just want to run away, too.

Thanks everyone for your support
And DH gets home tomorrow night-yay!
Luckily we are feeling better and I did get to watch Miss Potter-LOVED it!
My 2yr old's highlight today was literally wrestling with me to get his clothes off for a bath (and trust me, he needed one!). He was literally freaking out and I couldn't believe how strong he was. I got him down to his diaper and left him to crawl in the closet to yell. I got a cup of shaving creme and showed him. He IMMEDIATELY smiled and said "hello mama" like nothing had happened and hopped in the bath with his cup.
Then I couldn't get him out 20 min later, of course!
And yes, I understand the poking the tush thing too! But he usually does it with a car/truck and says "uh oh mama" like it was an accident-ya right
Don't ya just love em
