Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a TON of things I want to laminate - mostly taken from "Take it to Your Seat" learning centers by Evan-Moor. The majority of sheets I need to laminate are cards that need to be cut out.

With a Xyron 900 (or any kind), if I laminate a 8x10" piece of paper and *then* try to cut it into individual cards, is the lamination going to come right off? Do I need to have a sealed border around each and every card, as if I cut the cards out first then laminated - or does the laminate adhere directly to the paper in every place so that cutting out later is OK?

I have not yet bought the Xyron, and I'm trying to debate whether I should, or just go to the local teachers resource center and do it there (it would probably be cheaper in the long run, but then I don't have a cool machine at the end )

Amy -

I do this all the time with my Xyron 900 and haven't had a problem at all with the lamination peeling. I've been really pleased with it. I'm sure if you pick and pick at it that it might come off, but general use (and I have a 4 and 2.5 yo using them) it's been fine.

HTH

Thank you Cindy - that's exactly what I wanted to know! It's a good thing too - the teacher's resource center I wanted to use is closed for the summer, so it looks like I might be buying the Xyron for lack of any other way!

Thanks again.
