I love my sister soooo much! She is my sister,Mom, and best girlfriend. Her BD is Friday, and I want ot get her something special and practical within a reasonable $ amount.She lives an hour away from me.

She HS's her two teenage DS's and 9yo DD. She has been profoundly ill over the last 1.5 yrs.

She is pretty stocked in the kitchen. Her DH is getting her a *super nice* huge desk for her to get organized with HSing. While her house is always in a state of CHAOS(FlyLady), she does have nearly every home organizer/cleaner type book.

Any ideas?(Other than hiring a maid or home organizer?)

Various organizers to go on the "*super nice* huge desk" -- if it doesn't come with stuff like that???

I was recently given a rosary from beads of mercy. I cannot say enough how lovely and meaningful of a gift it is.

Maryan-

That is the first thing that popped into my head when talking to my BIL. However, he owns his own business, and has every "Desk organizer" one could ever want.

Mary and Chicken Lady-Thankyou so much for those links! I have them saved! Fortunately, my sis makes her own Rosary jewelry, and I have a friend here whose DD makes beautiful Rosary bracelets-my sis and her DD have matching ones!

Okay-I was praying about what to give her, asking the Holy Spirit to enlighten me, when it came to me.....

This summer she planted her first garden....she really needed something that would get her out of her house, relax her, yet keep her close enough to her bed if she needed to head there. So....

This got me thinking about her whole garden and if there was something she needs for it. That's when the idea popped into my head! I ran to our Catholic bookstore, and sure enough they had it! A book on creating a MARY GARDEN!

She just told me she is starting a 30 day Consecration to Mary(beginning on her BD). I think when she gets my gift, it will fit right in with this powerful Consecration! I am so excited!

I had the bookstore giftwrap it-otherwise I would tell you the title! It's for sure on my wish-list now!

christy, that sounds perfect! and maybe next year, you can get her an our lady of guadalupe rose from jackson and perkins. i just got the pope john paul rose for some friends of mine who are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary.
