Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What vitamins and supplements do you take?

Do you have trouble with nausea from them?

What brand do you buy?

Anything else about vitamins/supplements?

I'm 3.5 weeks postpartum and feeling a little . Nothing serious. Maybe some vitamins would help?

Sarah,
Sorry you are feeling like that! I heard recently that it is really important to eat meat post-partum and take a good bifido bacteria supplement. Meat helps to build seratonin in your digestive system. (Eat every 3-4 hours and include a good protein, fat and carbohydrate to keep your blood sugar balanced.) The good bacteria also aides in that process of building up the seratonin. I take Bifido Balance by NutriKey.
Hope you feel better soon!

I take a great vitamin from Beeyoutiful.com...their Supermom (there is a SuperDad, as well). They also sell other supplements, including those for the probiotics....

HTH

Sarah - the only vitamin that I can tolerate at any time, pregnant or not, without the nausea is Nature's Plus Prenatal liquid - you take one capful - and I have never had a problem with it. The other extra I plan to take postpartum is a calcium magnesium liquid supplement - which really helps with the mood swings and has a calming effect. I have cooked and frozen some comfort high calorie food too which is supposed to help - beef stew etc - I think the meat thing is important.

I will pray for you. (and please offer some Hail Mary's for me - I have had so many contractions this weekend - and this would be the ideal weekend to go into labor naturally - my doctor is on call).
