Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi,
I found out about this on the MODG board. Has anyone here ever used it? What was your experience? TIA!

There are at least a couple of moms in my homeschool group who use it, one of whom raves about it. I checked it out once a while ago, but I thought it wouldn't be cost-effective for us at the time. I'm reconsidering, though I haven't run it by my dh.

Anyone have firsthand experience?

It does seem rather expensive, and really, the more I look at it I think I could make something similiar. I guess I'm looking for "the thing that works". I hate being a drill sargeant and constantly reminding my kids about chores and other responsibilities. With this next baby due soon I'm hoping to find "the thing" that will whip everybody into shape! I guess I need to face reality! Thanks though!

I have never heard of this program, but one thing that might help your kids is to have their chores written down. For young ones who don't read much or at all, you can make a chart with pictures. That way, you can just say, "Go check your list. Did you do everything on it?" The list can help you from becoming a drill sergeant. You can make the chart with squares that they can check off, put a sticker on, etc., or just a basic list that they are expected to do.

We don't have all chores listed on a chart, except for kitchen chores, which rotate weekly. It DOES help. Kids like to know what is expected when.

God bless,

Patty
