Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've no idea how to spell triffle
but here is the recipe . really easy and simple .I've tried it with several types of fruits but I still and the family agrees come out liking the peaches and strawberries best of all .
I do not have exact measurments as this is a make it up yourself recipe
I tend to like canned peaches because they offer the syrup and I do not add alcohol so the extra liquid is needed .
I like angel food cake much better then pound cake
Ok ingredients
1-2 angel food cakes
canned peaches in syrup
fresh strawberries sliced and mixed with white sugar or liquid honey let stand for at least 12/ hr. until the juice starts to extract .
at least a pint of whipped cream whipped more if making a punch bowl full I used a litre and half
1-2 cans devon cream custard ( careful not to sneak a taste it is addictive
Dircetions
just begin layers .I start with cake . then whiped cream , a layer of berries and juice , then peaches and suryp , then blop on custard in dollops . begin again with cake . I end the last topping is cake topped with whipped cream and a bit of custard mixed together .I then decorate it with a few peaches and strawberries I saved . stick it in the fridge for about 1/2 a day and its ready .
This is so good I had eople at mass the next day asking how to make it . real easy even the kids can help but as I say it is really hard to keep your fingers out
Enjoy , Roxie

Sounds wonderful, Roxie! My avatar is a picture of a trifle! The recipes are so easy, aren't they? Glad it was a success!
