Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Gals , I thought I had to let you all know this
I was giving baby Evan a tub in his enamal bowl today ( was my grandmothers bowl and perfect size for 1yo )
As he was spalshing and shaking the measuring spoons ( only real toys in this house )
I got out the turkey baster to squirt him down with . He thought it was hilarious . Then he took it in hand turned it upside down looked at it closely .
I could just see his brain clicking turning thinking how did granny do that can I do that ? but how ?
"hmm oh well when in doubt put it in your mouth "
I thought to myself that has to be the baby secret code or something
when you can't figure it out stick it in your mouth
we are having fun
Much Love , Roxie

So cute! I seem to recall reading somewhere that babies' mouths are really sensitive, and putting things in their mouths is how they get to know things. (Scientists have done all sorts of experiments to come to the same conclusion you did--they should just ask the moms, right? )

I've heard that too-- that the tounge is the most sensitive part of the body (I think it was on Hollywood Squares when I was little-- it must be true! )

Oh Roxie - what precious memories you are gardening there!!! Never thought of a turkey baster in the sink for baby's bath, but that is *the* perfect tool isn't it! What a handy Mom tip!

I read the same thing about baby's tongues. They investigate their world first through their mouth, then they transition to hands.
