What is the best cookbook you've used? Something that you know you can pick any recipe out of it and it'll be great...

I LOVE cookbooks, I read them over and over again like novels . I have many. That said, my most reliable, had-to-buy-a-new-one-'cause-the-old-one-was-shredded (and I couldn't resist the new edition) is the Joy of Cooking. A very close second are my Moosewood cookbooks.

Ooooooh! What a awesome thread! I will be watching all the great suggestions.
The only one I can offer is just for desserts: The Cake Mix Doctor by Anne Byrn. Great to have as a resource when you need to whip up a fast dessert but you don't want to make the same-old same old! The strawberry crisp is very yummy!

Love, love, love Cooking Light: 5 Ingredient, 15 Minute Cookbook. Healthy meals, quick to make, and best of all, I haven't found a recipe yet that we don't like! Thanks for starting this thread.

I sincerely enjoy reading through Nigella Lawson cookbooks. I've only made 3 recipes from her (fried chicken to die for, a chocolate cake and a green bean fry) so far but they've all ben good. Her books are just lovely reads though!
(I also am a joy of cooking fan... nothing beats their tried and true peanut butter cookies)

I have a lot of cookbooks, but the ones that I use over and over for recipes my family will eat on an everyday basis are the Saving Dinner cookbooks by Leanne Ely. Saving Dinner the Low-Carb Way has great recipes!
