Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am finding blogging challenging, on the technical side...but loving it all the same.

I do have one pressing problem - the text. I can change the whole posting's text to one size and it comes up all different sizes, I really do not know why it would be doing this....

I find that if I type straight onto the blog the spacing between the lines is also changable and out of my control. If I type into 'word' first and then cut and paste over to the blog it seems to be better..

Does anyone have any advice or even to know what part of the help menu I ought to be looking at to solve these problems.

Also...our computer went down yesterday and so when I hopped on this morning I had to log back into this forum and when I looked at my blog everything was in the smallest type imaginable, would that have something to do with the computer going down? My husband seemed to think not and just changed our computer text to the largest size but that might not be how other people are seeing from their computers....

Sorry to burden you with my blogging woes....but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked your blog, Anne. Everything looks fine to me, no unusually small fonts at all... could it be your browser settings?

FWIW you might want to try posting using html instead of letting Blogger/Blogspot format it for you. When my kids run into Blogger/Blogspot problems it's usually because they let it format for them.

Inserting bold, underline, links, and images are the usual uses for the code -- I can help you with these if necessary (as can lots of people here) -- and these are fairly easy to learn -- then you won't need the pre-formatting feature at all.... unless you were wanting to do other, more complicated stuff.

hth,

I am the guilty one!    I asked Anne if it was my computer or hers that made the font look small (earlier today).

Anne, the font looks much better. I hope you are able to figure out how to make it stay that size. I'm glad not just my computer sees it as a good size as well!

No you are not guilty at all Fuzzy! - it was seriously small everywhere this morning!! But there is still this problem of different sized text even though it has been set for one size only....

FYI, the last few times I looked at your blogsite the text was super small!

I just thought it was an Aussie thing...

Okay, I just checked again -- Anne, your site looks normal with Mozilla Firefox, but it does have the smaller fonts with Internet Explorer. But the majority of people use IE 6 so ignore my previous post.

I just checked your CSS file -- no idea why the Minima has its font settings for x-small...

You can try this and see if it works:

Go to "Edit" to edit your post.
Click on "Compose".
Press Ctrl-A (Select All).
Click on the 2 Ts icon in the editing menu (beside the drop-down "Font" menu and the big
b
Choose "Normal".
Click Publish Post.
View blog (you might have to hit "refresh").

If that doesn't help, you might have to go into your CSS to play with it a bit...
