Enjoy! If you have to clean, at least do it leaving behind a nice fresh scent!

I missed the sale, but I've been looking at this website on and off for months. I'd like to try something, but I'm afraid to spend too much. Anyone have a recommendation for something to start with?

Michelle - I too have been looking at the site for some time...the products are not sold in stores near me. I ordered the lavender scented all purpose cleaner figuring I could do lots of general cleaning with it diluted however I wanted. I love this stuff! So far I've used it on the bathrooms, in the kitchen (I made a paste with some baking soda and the lavender cleaner and scrubbed my stove top - ahhhhh!:) Now I'm working on taking my fridge apart to clean years of sticky stuff...no, I'm not for hire. It makes cleaning smell soooooo good!

What do the Geranium and Lemon Verbena smell like? I really don't like lavendar scented ANYTHING, so I'd have to go with the others (once I run out of the "method" cleaner I have stocked up on, lol).

I'd love to hear from some of you that can offer some advice on the scents. I just don't know what Geranium is supposed to smell like? Flowers? And I suppose lemon verbena is lemony? Honestly, I've been putting off ordering for some time just because I've been indecisive about which scent to try! Can anybody help?

I think the honeysuckle is absolutely heavenly!!!! I wish they would sell it year round! I also like the geranium, but it is pretty sweet smelling. When my ds9 was younger it was to sweet for him. I am not a huge fan of lavendar scented products but theirs is not bad. I like the lemon verbena also. They smell great. I would maybe try the lemon verbena, I think it is a great scent for this time of year.
I first found the Mrs. Meyers products at Cost Plus, oh wait on the East that is World Market. I just always think of it as Cost Plus because that's what it is in Ca. I think they also carry the products at Whole Foods.

My dh got a bottle of the counter spray for me when he saw it it a local natural foods store. He knew I had been looking for it, and so grabbed it when he saw it, without realizing that there were different scents.
So, I actually have the Geranium. Which would probably not have been what I would have chosen .
I have NO idea how to describe a scent. But -- I liked it, and I am not a big scent person ( they tend to give me headaches, or make me cough.)
It is quite potent, though!

Thanks. I don't have any of those stores terribly near me (Raleigh is probably the closest for the World Market, or any of the natural food stores...ugh. 1 1/2 hrs away for cleaning products??? I don't think so! LOL).
Rachel (who would probably get the geranium AND the lemon verbena...lol)

I've been trying to get to the Mrs. Meyers web site but for some reason I'm coming up with nothing! I've never used these products but they sound wonderful! Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

The geranium scent has essential oils of geranium, rose, and clove. Does that help anyone guess what it smells like? Actually, I love the way it smells, but I just think the list of those essential oils doesn't really conjure any particular scent to me. Maybe this is just my personal preference, but as much as I love the smell of lavender, I tend to associate it with linens and bathrooms. I wouldn't want to wash all my floors with something lavender-scented. Maybe a good product for starters, primarily to get the scent, is the liquid hand soap? That way you can check out the scent without having cleaned your whole house with it (so you won't be surrounded by the way it smells).
Peace,
Nancy

I have the geranium hand soap and lotion and I have to say it reminds me of grandmas. Not in a bad way. More like the way I think grandmas should smell, sweet.
Geranium is definitely the sweetest. I meant to go poke my nose into the bottles I have around the house but I didn't get to it yesterday. I think I have something in each scent.

Wow! Thanks for all the descriptions everyone! I have to say, I really love the smell of honeysuckle, so that would be my first pick if it was an option (though someone said it was only offered seasonally - gotta check that out) and I think I might try geranium. Thanks for all the help!!
Becky - could it be your browser??? I use Firefox and I'm not having any trouble getting on the site.
Edited to say: I just went back to the site to check again Becky and I can't get on either. Maybe their site is down because I tried getting in from a number of different directions. Blast! Just when I was getting ready to order.

Anthony and Maria clean bathrooms each day. Could I let them use this?

Rachel,
Totally safe.
And I borrowed some "geranium scented" from Mary Chris and I definitely think the predominant scent is rose. If you like rose, you'll love it.

Thanks Jennifer,
I just tried again and it worked fine. Now the question is where do I begin??? I'm thinking the Spring Cleaning Kit might be a good over-all introduction to these products.
Thanks Ladies!

I have lemon vebena and I really like it. It's a light greeny-lemony scent. (can anyone else imagine what 'greeny' smells like? LOL!) It's not too strong at all. I scent my Basic-H with lavender essential oil, but I'm not real big on lavender scented things. I think I'll try the honeysuckle soon! :)
