Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just spent two weeks in NC, AL, and GA. Saw Robbie off to the Sandbox last Monday, they are getting ready to head in from Kuwait.

My dd Emily and her dh Russell will be leaving next week for Ft. Campbell KY. He is going active duty and has been stationed there. The last time I was there I was all of 8 years old. Does anyone know about parishes on or off post, and homeschooling laws(for the future, she is pg right now). Also, prayers would be good, the Army won't be moving them this time, and she will have to drive for 9 hours from NC.

I'm happy she will be there, two of my kids and their families live in IN, and my dad is in AL about 5 hours south of her.

Cindy,
We were stationed at Fort Campbell for 7 years and loved the area. We REALLY loved being close enough to drive to the Fathers of Mercy for Mass. It was about 80 miles from where we lived, but it was so worth it. We attended Mass in Hopkinsville for the first few years we were there; there was a wonderful priest and the Fathers of Mercy allowed their priests to serve there with him. After he was moved, we went up to the FOM all time. I'm not sure which priests are at Campbell right now;with all the deployments it's hard to know who's coming and going. There is also a church in Clarksville and one right outside of post in Oak Grove.

The homeschool laws are better in KY than in TN and I much preferred living in KY ( and I'm from Tennessee!) Clarksville has gotten so big and spread out the traffic is much worse than towards Hopkinsville. We actually lived in a little town on the back side of post - perfect for a traffic free commute

We have many dear friends still in the area and are actually going to be up that way soon. I can PM you with more information and please let me know any questions you have.

Blessings,
Kym
mom to 9 - 8 boys (24,14,11,9,7,5,3,21 mos.) and 1 girl(22)
