I'm going public. Cay's friend mentioned in this prayer request is me. We are expecting a baby! I'm almost 6 weeks along, due date around January 5, although we will probably have the baby closer to Christmas. I shared a few details on my blog.
Yesterday I had a bit of a scare with some cramping and fresh spotting. I may have done too much, lugging sacks of moss and humus and such for our garden. My progesterone and HCG numbers were good and high, so they ordered a sonogram yesterday afternoon. The baby is on target, we saw the sac, no hemorrhaging, and saw the heartbeat. Praised be to God.
I'm still cramping on one side when I'm on my feet for a bit, so I'm instructed to not resume normal activites and try to stay off my feet and elevate them, and the mess and laundry will have to be ignored a bit longer.
Thanks very, very much for the prayers, everyone. It's been a long journey, but still a long road ahead for this pregnancy. We'd appreciate continued prayers!
